You will be starting this tour by staying one night at the famous fishing village Negombo. You will be visiting seven out of Eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites during this tour including archeological relic site in Anuradhapura to witness enormous Dagobas (dome-shaped structures) and remains of the ancient buildings in the old cities, Archeological relic sites in Polonnaruwa, world famous frescoes at Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the Rock Temple Complex of Dambulla, the amazing fortifications of Galle Dutch Fort and the Kandy City, the last capital of the ancient kings' era of Sri Lanka and the home of the Temple of the Tooth Relic. You will get a chance to see one of two natural UNESCO world heritage sites, Horton Plains in the Central Highlands.
Visit to East Coast is also included where you will be visiting an ancient Hindu Temple and enjoy the famous east coast beaches. A visit to the Yala National Park by a safari jeep will be a real treat for wildlife enthusiast as you will get a chance to spot Asian elephants, sloth bear, leopards, sambar, wild buffaloes, Crocodiles and many more in their natural habitat. Yala National Park is known to have the highest density of leopards in the world. Visit to the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala and a Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda is also included in the tour.
You will not miss the misty mountains covered with lush green tea bushes and splendid waterfalls. Real treat after your long journey around this tropical island will be to relax on the world famous south coast beaches. You will be finishing the tour by staying one night in vibrant Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka.
